THE WRITING’S ON THE WALL

We are making exciting progress on our new building – an auditorium and lobby area. The exterior walls are receiving a coat of stucco, while the interior walls are about to receive a layer of drywall. But before the drywall goes up, we have the opportunity to personalize the block walls with a “foundation of the Word of God.”

This coming Sunday, January 7, after each of our Sunday Services, we will be dismissed to the interior of the new auditorium to write our favorite scripture verses on the unfinished walls. It will be a great reminder of how,  just like our lives should be built upon God’s word, so should our church buildings be built upon God’s Word. It will be a special time to participate together as a family.  Simply bring one of your favorite verses with you. We will provide the markers.

THE 31 DAY CHALLENGE

This past Sunday I put out a challenge that each of us can easily be a part of. We, as a part of God’s Family, have a special privilege, a well as a responsibility, to share the Good News and Love of Jesus Christ to as many people as we can. Whether we share the Gospel; share our personal story; invite people to a church service; help people with the love of Jesus; or let our “light shine” through the way we live our lives, one thing we can all do is to PRAY for people.

So here’s the Challenge:

For the month of January (31 days) take a moment and pray for 1 person who needs to know and experience the love of Jesus in their lives. Here’s a simple prayer you can pray – “Lord, I pray that ___________________ would experience the love of Jesus today.” Fill in the blank with whomever the Lord lays on your heart. Pray for them, and then be there for them when God begins to do something special in their lives.

I believe 2024 will provide an unprecedented opportunity for God to use each of us to impact our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. That’s the reason we’re MAKING ROOM for more people.
