A SPECIAL NIGHT

This past Sunday at WORSHIP NIGHT we had an amazing experience in worship and celebration. It was a special time where the Joy of the Lord was experienced by all of us that were there. We spent some time laying hands on and praying for the middle school and high school students who were at the service. It was a special time. As we continued to worship it was obvious that God was doing something special in each of our hearts and no one wanted it to end. It was one of those moments where God met us at our point of need and anticipation. I believe that God enjoys his children enjoying Him.

HIGH EXPECTATIONS

One of the common factors in most of our amazing experiences in life – the level of our expectations. It’s amazing how the measure of our expectation of a situation tends to play out in our experience. When we enter a situation with high expectations, there’s a real good chance that things will go much better for you than if your expectations are either very low or non-existent. In God’s world you might call that faith. Having faith that God is going to do something special so often prepares the way for something even more amazing than what we could have imagined.

When you come to a Sunday morning service what is your level of expectation? Whatever it is, chances are that you will not be disappointed. When you show up with an anticipation of a powerful time of connecting with God in your worship experience, along with an expectation of hearing God speak to you through His Word and the sermon, chances are that’s exactly what you will experience. When you show up at Worship Night with an attitude of joy and an anticipation of experiencing God, chances are that He will exceed your expectations.

This reminds me of a verse that has been meaningful to me for many years:

Isaiah 43:19 (God) “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”

We are living in an exciting time here at Abundant Life Church. God is doing a new thing among us. As we begin to perceive it – we will then begin to expect the new things that God is preparing for us. I believe that we are beginning to see some of those new and amazing “Ways in the desert” and the “Streams in the wasteland.”  Are you ready to experience all that God is planning for you?
